Walnut, linear wood, warm 1970's-inspired tones, and greens were among the directions visible at this year’s Salone del Mobile. For manufacturers of furniture, doors, and interior elements, this is an important signal for developing decor and color ranges in the coming seasons.
Yet again fairs in Milan showed that contemporary interiors blend elegance, naturalness, and expressive material character for engaging environments. Among the most visible directions were noble walnut tones, linear wood structures, greens in multiple shades, and the renewed influence of 1970s aesthetics.
The se trends align particularly well with the decors of the Prime Collection – both in classic, elegant combinations and in bolder compositions built around expressive wood grain.
Walnut remains one of the most important species in the segment of elegant, timeless interiors. Its deep color palette, distinctive grain, and naturally refined look reflect the idea of Italian luxury – warm, polished, and rooted in material quality.
In the Prime Collection, this role is fulfilled by Nogal Mediterraneo – a decor with a classic, veneer-like character, ideal for projects that require elegance and timeless appeal.
How to pair?
UNI Cashmere and UNI Sand Grey – to create both calm, soft compositions, which brighten the overall look and introduce modern neutrality into the composition.
UNI Espresso and UNI Off-Black – the deep brown of UNI Espresso creates a refined combination with a more polished character. On the other hand UNI Off-Black acts as a stronger counterpoint to dark walnut – it organizes the layout, adds rhythm to the composition, and introduces a more expressive, graphic character.
Walnut Alternatives in Prime Collection – alongside Nogal Mediterraneo, the PrimeCollection includes other walnut decors with a strong market position: Columbia Walnut and Bakersfield Walnut. These decors have a slightly morerustic character, faithfully reflecting the classic structure of walnut and complementing the range for projects built around timeless wood elegance.

One clearly visible direction at the fair was linear, orderly wood decors. Such structures respond well to the need for calm, rhythmic surfaces – especially in furniture, fronts, wall panels, and built-in elements.
Linear oaks in Prime Collection
Salvador Oak – its linear character gives designers a high level of compositional freedom and enables the creation of modern, coherent interiors.
Lindberg Oak – works extremely well as a color base because its calm, neutral structure supports different aesthetic directions without losing visual cohesion. Within the Prime Collection, this decor can be paired in several clear color groups.
Milan also showcased a return to warmer color palettes inspired by the 1970's – honey, caramel, brown tones, and softened beiges. This direction reintroduces coziness to interiors, but with a more contemporary, elegant interpretation.
Warm oaks in Prime Collection
Arles Oak 103 – is a more classic and restrained option. Its natural, authentic character makes it an excellent base for collections designed to feel warm, elegant, and easy to apply in commercial projects.
Sardes Oak – takes the trend one step further. Its rich wood grain, stronger contrast, and clearly defined pores align with the current preference for bolder, more expressive wood structures. This decor is intended for projects where the surface is not just a supporting element, but a key contributor to the overall impression of the interior.

Observations from Salone del Mobile confirm that today’s interior design increasingly relies n the combination of natural structures, warm tones, and elegant color accents.
The Prime Collection allows these trends to be translated in to concrete, readily available solutions – from classic walnut and linear wood designs to more expressive oak decors and fashionable UNI colors.
It is a collection that enables the creation of trend-conscious yet safe, versatile, and implementation-ready solutions for furniture, doors, and interior design projects.
